Hafiz listened to all of Ceri's questions and comments with a simple smile on his face.
"I dunno if there's always a lot of people here, but it sure seems like it," he replied to the first question.
"As for why I'm here. . ."
The smile faded from his face. He looked sad, contemplative maybe.
"I. . .I dunno, to be honest. . ."
His grin returned.
"Oh well!"

Ceri just skipped listening to the man as he spoke. "So.. your .. sort of like on an.. adventure?" Ceri asked with a giggle. "We're on an adventure too!" Ceri chirped happily. It was fun going on adventures. Unfortunately at the school they always kept them locked up so they never had much freedom. Unless Cyrus was in charge, then the two would have freedom.
"Ask him why his hair is white and how old he is!" Cyrus whispered into Ceri's ear. Ceri stopped a moment and then looked up at the man. "Um. My friend wants to know how old you are because.. your hair is white.. and only old people have white hair."Ceri said shyly. He didn't want to offend the man that has been nice to him. He was use to being pushed around from place to place. Then again, everyone at the sword & cross thought that he was crazy.
Ceri looked back up at the man and smiled. Cyrus was just being silly. There was no need to worry about the man. He was a good human being. He just didn't know why Cyrus was so interested in him. Then again, him and Cyrus did bump into each other.. so cyrus may just want 'revenge'. The man was nice. There was no need to be worried about him. So Ceri grabbed the mans hand.. "Where too?!" He asked excitedly as he skipped off with the man behind him.

"Yeah, you could call it an adventure, I guess," Hafiz said with a smile. "Heck, why not? An adventue it is then!"
Ceri asked him about his hair, and commented about how only old people have white hair.
A chuckle escaped his lips.
"I'm only 23 years old, little buddy," he grinned. "My hair has always been like this. Something in my genetics went kinda funky, or something, and I ended up with white hair."
He knew his age was a lie. He had been around much, much longer than that. He couldn't remember if his hair had ever been a different color, but he didn't really care.
Ceri grabbed him by the hand and pulled him along, asking him where they should go next.
"Like I said, I dunno," Hafiz grinned. He quickly picked up Ceri and moved him so that he was riding on his back.
"Just point whichever direction you want to go!"

Ceri felt like he was free for a moment. Riding on the back of the man, not treating him like some sort of freak that was to be feared. Like most of the guards and other kids at the Sword & Cross. Ceri smiled and wrapped his arms around the man. "You know, If Cyrus was in charge. He wouldn't like this at all." Ceri said with a light chuckle.
"Your damn fuckin' right, I wouldn't like it! I'd be rippin' this fuckin' dudes head off." Cyrus chuckled in Ceri's head. Ceri just shook his head and let out a soft sigh. Cyrus was such a violent fellow. It just didn't make sense why the two of them had to share the same body. It just complicated things.
Though none of this mattered at this point in time. This man was being nice and treating him like someone that actually mattered for a change. He smiled as he watched the people walk away and around them. Everywhere, there were people everywhere. It was amazing to see so many. He never knew there were this many people in the world. It was just nice to taste freedom when they could.. and this man. he was most certainly different.

Hafiz carried Ceri on his back, glancing around at all there was to see. He heard the boy chuckle, which brought a smile to his face. He was glad to see the boy was having a good time.
"So, little buddy, where do we go from here?" he asked. He didn't really care, so he was open to whatever suggestion Ceri might offer.

Ceri was enjoying his ride on Hafiz's back when his stomach let out soft rumble of disagreement. "FOOD TIME!" Ceri chirped happily, not taking into account that he had no money in his possession. Hoping off Hafiz's back, Ceri ran off and followed his nose to the nearest fast food place. Of course, the sound of grease sizzling on the stone rang through out the place but it smelled really good.
Ceri looked back too see if Hafiz was behind him. "What should we get Cyrus?" Ceri asked out loud without thinking about it. "Fuck. Like I really give a shit. Just get some damn food. Better yet. Let me get it for us." Cyrus said maliciously. Ceri thought about it for a moment but decided against it. "No. I don't want any trouble here." Ceri said rather sternly, then looked up at the menu.
"hmm.. Hamburgers and fries... Chicken sandwiches. There are alot of options!" Ceri said as he looked at all the different possibilities. Looking back at Hafiz. "Which would you recommend, since you come here more often then me." Ceri asked with a gentle smile as his stomach growled once again.

Ceri hopped off his back, and led the way to the food court. The aromas of all the foods mingled together, creating an interesting scent that reminded one of every food all at once.
Ceri inquired as to what food they should get. "Whatever you want to get is fine. I can pay for both of us," Hafiz grinned. In truth, he wasn't all that hungry, but he didn't want Ceri to know that.
"Just let me know what you want, okay?"
